Abstract

The Coqblin-Schrieffer formalism will be applided to study the magnetic ordering in some cerium based compounds. The procedure consists in calculate an effective interaction between cerium ions due to the hybridization of localized levels (4f) and conduction electrons. The Anderson model and the Coqblin-Schrieffer procedure will be used to generate an effective coupling between cerium ions. We want to perform the calculations without the restriction of ions very far apart, as did in the first applications. In this way, we hope to value quantitatively the contribution of all total angular momentum components to the magnetic ordering.
