Abstract

The aim of the present work is to understand the production of knowledge in scientific initiation, based on a study of the active research in SI in the engineering courses of the Federal University of São Carlos. Through the analysis of the current researches of undergraduate students of these courses, it is sought to highlight the relations of these students with research groups that have direct participation with the productive sector. Thus, this research project intends to analyze these works under the current national economic conjuncture, to understand and respond if the productions of the scientific initiations in the UFSCar engineering courses are producing potentially profitable knowledge for the economy of the country.
