Abstract

In this project, we will study the non-perturbative structure and propertiesof the gluon-ghost vertex, where the gluon field is in the background. This vertex plays a crucial role in the truncation scheme employed in the gluon Schwinger-Dyson equation.We will derive analytically the dynamical equations governing the form factors of this vertex using two methods. In the first one, we will use the Ward identity that it satisfies, whereas in the other, we will employ Slavnov-Taylor identity which relates its behavior to the gluon-ghost scattering kernel in the background. In this second approach, we will also determine the gluon-ghost scattering kernel form factors in the so-called one-loop dressed approximation. The results obtained in this project will enable us to improve the truncation scheme based on the fusion of the Pinch Technique and the Background field method, as well as the derivation of others special Green's functions.
