Abstract

Introduction: Gender violence is still a contemporary reality that causes harm to the victims and perpetuates inequalities between men and women. Nursing students may also be subjected to this type of grievance during their activities in academic settings, which supposedly should not provide such suffering. Objectives: To identify the prevalence of gender violence situations experienced by nursing students and to describe the profile of victims and perpetrators of gender violence. Method: This is a cross-sectional study. The research will be carried out with the nursing students of the Escola Paulista de Enfermagem of UNIFESP. It is estimated that the collection will be done between August and September 2019. It will be used as inclusion criterion to be a woman (cis or transgender), a nursing student enrolled in any of the series of the course and over 18 years. Anyone who does not have a minimum computer domain to respond to the data collection instrument will be excluded from the study. The estimated sample is 60 students. The data will be collected through a questionnaire with sociodemographic variables (age, race / color and monthly family income) and the application of the World Health Organization Violence Against Women (WHO VAW) questionnaire, section 10.The project will comply with the norms of Resolution nº 466/2012 and will be submitted to the Research Ethics Committees of the Federal University of São Paulo and the health institution where the data collection will be performed.
