Abstract

Many studies indicate that temperatures reach maximum in the center of urban areas, in high-density urban area, population densities and high soil waterproofing rate. This contributes to the discomfort of inhabitants of cities. Finding the equation of these relations is the subject of much research. In this sense, the general objective of this work is to contribute to understanding the impact of climate change on cities and to evaluate the potential of mitigation strategies for improvements in the urban thermal environment. In this sense, the expected results seek both the advancement in knowledge about the thermal comfort of urban spaces and the methodological improvement of computational simulation techniques and analysis of the urban thermal environment.
