Abstract

In this PhD project we will study questions in general topology regarding generalizations of the notion of pseudocompactness, such as p-compactness, strong p-pseudocompactness and strong pseudocompactness, especially when applied to topological groups. The research will start from the study of some open problems proposed by world class specialists in these fields. The aim is to make advances in these fields which can be measured by means of their impact (from publications of research articles, seminars and conferences). (AU)
