Underreporting of energy intake assessed in the validation Study of Brazilian version GloboDiet software

Abstract

The assessment of food consumption is already important to the literature, yet the treatment was subject to variations and measurement errors. One of the main and most recurrent errors in food surveys is the report of energy insufficiency lower than the minimum substances necessary for maintenance of body weight, that is, the underreporting of energy. This line error will be evaluated in the validation study of the Brazilian version of GloboDiet software, which is a computerized collection and analysis of 24-hour food records. Objective: The objectiveis comparative as it exists for the identification of sub-using predictive equations obtained by water doubly marked. Methodology: This is a study developed with participants of the third series of the Longitudinal Study of Adult Health-ELSA-Brazil at the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo. Will be collected 24-hour Food Reminders (R24h), Frequency Questionnaires(QFA), urine samples 24 hours and a questionnaire of general characterization of 100 participants of both sexes. For detection of individuals sub-rapporteurs were detected in the literature of the most used equations. Subsequently, they will be compared with the results obtained by calculating the energy expenditure using the doubly marked water method. With the conclusion of the present study, it will be possible to compare the estimates for the identification of energy sub-report.
