Abstract

The facial evaluation using 3D technology of acquisition of images by stereophotogrammetry has been used in the field of dentistry in order to perform more accurate and efficient analyzes. Based on this, the present work set out to build a database using this non-invasive technology. To evaluate the face of several individuals in different age groups of both sexes and to obtain averages of the facial proportions, in order to develop comparison parameters that will be used in future researches. The analysis will be performed using the Vectra H1 portable stereophyogrammetry camera system (Canfield Scientific, Inc, Fairfield, NJ, USA) using VAM elaboration software (Canfield Scientific, Inc) in 100 patients divided in 2 groups: G1 - 50 patients aged 41-50 years G2 - 50 patients between the ages of 51 and 65, all individuals with stable occlusion, matched by sex. Morphometric points, linear measurements and facial angles will be analyzed. The numerical values obtained will be submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) with significance level of 5%. The present study has innovative characteristics in the health area, and it will be able to establish important facial parameters for dentistry.
