Abstract

Currently, society is in an increasingly urban context, which results in a greater distance from nature and, consequently, changes in the understanding of the dimensions of sustainability. The environmental problems faced today have raised concerns from different spheres of society. Due to the need to seek solutions to overcome the environmental crisis, the concept of environmental interpretation emerges, a very important instrument that contributes to sustainable relations between society and nature. As well, the use of the hydrographic basin as an experimental unit is relevant to enable interpretive practices of field visitation and to encourage society´s participation for solving environmental problems through the understanding of phenomena in totality. Thus, the overall objective of this project is to study, analyze and propose approaches and conceptions of environmental interpretation aiming at the elaboration of interdisciplinary tours of hydrographic basins. This research will be of the exploratory type and will be done from the bibliographical and exploratory research on the themes of the research, followed by interviews and participatory thematic workshop (focus group) with the interested public. Finally, the content analysis method will analyze the results obtained. This research hopes to contribute to the consolidation of scientific knowledge in the area of elaboration interdisciplinary itineraries of visitation in hydrographic basins for practices of environmental interpretation and also, to disseminate the results to subsidize new researches and to contribute to the environmental perception of the society on environmental phenomena and challenges.
