Abstract

After having compiled all the data necessary to our research and started the evaluation of the hypotheses made by grammarians and researchers on the behaviour of Ancient Greek case attraction on infinitive clauses, it became clear that a more robust theoretical framework was needed for presenting a proper linguistic explanation of the phenomenon. Some methodological and theoretical approaches were evaluated, and it seemed that a combination of philological and typological analyses was the fittest approach to or data. The results brought by Philomen Probert's analysis of early greek relative clauses (2015) led us to consider that a period on her supervision at Oxford University would be profitable for our work.
