Abstract

The facial evaluation using the 3D technology of acquisition of images by stereo photogrammetry has been used in the field of dentistry in order to perform more accurate and efficient analyzes. Based on this, the present study will be propose a descriptive analysis of the facial proportions of young people between 20 and 40 years old using this noninvasive technology. To evaluate the face of several individuals in different age groups of both sexes and obtain averages of facial proportion, in order to develop comparison parameters that will be used in future research. The analysis will be performed using the portable Vectra H1 stereo phyogrammetry camera system (Canfield Scientific, Inc, Fairfield, NJ, USA) and through VAM elaboration software (Canfield Scientific, Inc.) in 60 patients divided into 2 groups: G1 - 30 patients aged 20 to 30 years G2 - 30 patients between 31 and 40 years of age, all individuals with stable occlusion, matched by sex. Morphometric points, linear measurements and facial angles will be analyzed. The numerical values obtained will be submitted to analysis of variance (ANOVA) with significance level of 5%. The present study has innovative characteristics in the health area, and it will be able to establish important facial parameters for digital dentistry.
