Abstract

This research project aims to describe the main activities to be carried out during the internship period linked to the The New School for Social Research - USA. The internship period abroad has the main objective of contributing to deepening the dialogue of the ethnographic material of the transformations between the Kalapalo of the Upper Xingu and the literature on childhood in Anthropology, an advance that is essential for the development of my master's thesis. The main contributions is to be under the supervision of Professor Lawrence Hirschfeld, an authority on the field and to be able to participate in the Center for Research with Infants and Toddlers, under his direction. I will also have the opportunity to get to know the work of colleagues in the seminars on Social Anthropology related to topics of interest in research, participation in university activities, attendance at international seminars and conferences, and access to bibliographies and other publications produced in languages that deal with topics such as indigenous ethnology, children anthropology, learning and transformation.
