Abstract

This project proposes to think about communication based on the philosophy of Emmanuel Levinas. With the intention of making an interrelationship between philosophy and communication, it will be discussed not only the author's work, but how it is possible to appropriate his thought to think communication and also present the contributions already made about this philosopher in the area of Communication. As a starting point, the author's work is discussed and then the comments of researchers seeking to establish a relationship between Levinas's philosophy and communication are presented. This project seeks to contribute with a new way of interpreting levinasian thinking. It is observed that the studies on Ethics in the communication still lack of debates and new contributions, reason why, this project has as mission to fill a gap in the studies and to amplify the debates that were initiated.
