Abstract The evolution of space missions and their systems have been driving innovations and the creation of ideas and new technologies for decades. The search for innovative solutions that combine the optimization of resources and materials guide the recent research in the space area. The systems formed by several bodies connected by cables (Tether Systems) are an innovative idea and can be the solution for the reduction of costs in space missions, being one of the concepts that have the potential to fulfill the goal of efficient transport in space. In this work, we will discuss the structures connected by cables, their viability, the rotational dynamics and the behavior of the system in space environments. It will be created models that simulate and explain the dynamics of the object and will be analyzed the main parameters of the systems that use this dynamics with applications in nanossatellites. | |
