Abstract

The search for restorative procedures that require less runtime associated with the attempt to reduce the polymerization shrinkage, caused the class of composite Bulk Fill obtain great reputation in the market. Its use allows the insertion of larger increments of resin layers with effective polymerization of up to 4 millimeters. The type of composite resin and filling technique are not the only factors to be considered for the clinical success of a restoration, the preparation of the surface to be bonded is also of fundamental importance. Therefore, the irradiation with Er: YAG laser is presented as a promising technique within Restorative Dentistry, creating changes in dentin morphology can influence the quality of the adhesion of restorative materials, however, studies evaluating the bond strength between resin composites Bulk Fill in teeth prepared with Er: YAG laser are absent in the literature.
