Abstract

The interest in dynamic vehicle routing problem (dVRP) has been increasing over the years. This problem is a variant from the traditional vehicle routing problem (VRP), in which it is possible to readjust the routes of the vehicles over time. The possibility to readjust dynamically the routes can save a significant amount of costs and, at the same time, better attend customer demands. It has several applications from emergency to delivery services and also can better address routing problems under uncertainty. The dynamic vehicle routing problem is relatively new and recent literature reviews point out some aspects that can be explored. The objective of this research is to investigate models, methods and apply them to practical variants.
