Abstract

The cabbage (Brassica oleraceae var. Capitata) is a leaf vegetable with expressive presence in Brazilian agriculture since its introduction by the colonizers the crop remained restricted to regions with milder climate due to its climate requirements, recently public and private plant breeding companies sought to develop new cultivars adapted to higher temperatures. The city of Registro, located inside of the Vale do Ribeira, in the state of São Paulo, is considered to have one of the state's lowest human development, with a small participation of leafy vegetables in its economy due to elevated temperatures and high humidity of the region. The introduction of cabbage culture in the region can give the small scale farmers a perspective quality of life improvement. Thus, the objective of this study will be to evaluate the action of biostimulants as resistance inducers in cabbage plants in high humidity and high temperatures set. In the Agrochá unit of the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", Campus Experimental de Registro, will be installed a randomized block design study in the double factorial scheme with three replications. The first factor will be composed of three red cabbage cultivars: Red Jewel® (Sakata Seed), Red Dinasty® (Seminis) and Kirei® (Agristar). The second factor will be composed of biostimulants: Aminom®, Biozyme®, Raizal®, K-fol® + control (without biostimulant application). The parcel will consist of eight plants, with the floor area being the four central plants. Productive characteristics and anthocyanins will be evaluated. The data will be subjected to analysis of variance using the F test, and the means compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. The computer program SISVAR will be used for such analysis. (AU)
