Abstract

This research project is dedicated to carry out a quantitative investigation on the theme of Academic Satisfaction in higher education in order to identify which factors involve the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of students with academic life and which reasons corroborate the permanence or dropout of students. College students. This theme emerges as a research interest since, both nationally and internationally, there has been an increase in the number of students in higher education and growing interest of researchers about the academic adaptation of undergraduates regarding academic success. Will participate in the research 100 undergraduate students in Humanities, Exact and Biological in order to know what are the causes that involve the satisfaction and dissatisfaction of these students with their academic life, specifically in relation to six dimensions, they are: resources financial, profession, interpersonal (friends), institutional, teaching and learning/income. The collection of this research is limited to students from UNESP - Paulista State University - Rio Claro campus. Methodologically a scale of academic satisfaction will be applied, developed in larger research between Brazil and Portugal. This research is expected to contribute to the recognition of the factors that interfere with student satisfaction in the educational environment, assisting in the planning of actions, programs, and services for student care, as well as enabling the creation of strategies within the institution itself to improve students' needs.
