Abstract

This research is dedicated to conducting a quantitative investigation on the theme of Academic Satisfaction in higher education, aiming to identify which factors involve student satisfaction or dissatisfaction with academic life in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. This theme arises because of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, which impacted the entire world society and, in the case of Brazilian universities, provoked the demand for a new organization in terms of promoting education. This required students and teachers to learn a new work dynamic imposed by the requirement of social distance and the need for isolation. 300 undergraduate students from the Humanities, Exact and Biological fields will participate in the research. Data collection is limited to students at UNESP - Rio Claro campus. Methodologically, a questionnaire will be applied via google forms consisting of closed questions and an open question with support for a descriptive answer. The analysis will be done by descriptive statistics. The objective is to identify to what degree the current pandemic scenario compromises the ability of students to engage in learning activities; analyze what are the positive and negative feelings of students in relation to carrying out activities during the school year; check if there are differences between students depending on the area of the course. It is hoped that this research will contribute to the recognition of factors that affect student satisfaction in the educational environment, helping to plan actions, programs and services to assist students.
