Abstract

Progressively, technology has shown a power tool for Reverse Logistics, which can bring competitive advantages to organizations, which can be intensified by the advance of the fourth industrial revolution. Reverse logistics currently has difficulties with the lack of applied information systems, as in most cases, as technologies are not created for reverse logistics. As difficulties faced by reverse logistics companies, with the need to use their activities efficiently and, understanding that information technology can contribute to this, it aims to explore and characterize as technologies incorporated in reverse logistics companies. For this, a systematic bibliographic and bibliometric review will be performed, consulting as databases of the Portal of Periodicals, seeking the understanding of "state of the art" of the studied subject and the main subjects studied and/or interest to the scientific community. Once the scientific articles on the subject will be executed, an analysis of the content of this material in order to identify convergent and general interest topics, as well as the research gaps in the subject, works and most relevant researchers in the area. In addition, this study may contribute to a panel proposal on reverse logistics that considers, as the main information technologies identified, as supported operations and the expected results and/or used with the adoption of this technology.
