Abstract

The formalism of the time dependent ginzburg-Landau equations (TDGL) has been now successfully used in a wide range of problems involving the vortex state of superconducting samples of different types and shapes. In particular, the effects of a thermal gradient in the vortex configuration of a type II mesoscopic superconductors have been recently studied. The aim of this project is to extend the previous works to the case of mesoscopic superconducting thin films of type-I, in which non-monotonic vortex interactions play an important role on their configuration. The central goal is the studied of yet new effects introduced by the thermal gradient, which makes it possible the formation of vortex clusters, otherwise nonexistent at constant temperature, in these samples.
