Abstract

This research project proposes the study of orthogonal matrix polynomials, which is an area with great potential in research. Initially, we will study the matrix polynomials and later the orthogonal matrix polynomials and their properties, ending with the presentation of some of their applications, as in the Gaussian quadratures. Thus, this project aims to add knowledge and solidify the candidate's studies to enable him to extend such in future studies, such as a postgraduate.
