Abstract

Coffee crop is of great economic importance to Brazil, which is the world's first coffee producer and second consumer, accounting for 32% of the world market. Studies have shown that organic and shaded coffee cultivation systems have major advantages over beverage quality, productivity and the environment. In order to assist future biological control programs that use green lacewings as a control agent, this research aims to know the diversity of Chrysopidae species in coffee (Coffea arabica L.) crops in Franca - SP region. The studies will be conducted in four areas of organic, shaded (cedar and mahogany) and conventional coffee crop in Franca region and the collections will be performed weekly over a period of one year. Data on the number of Chrysopidae species and specimens, as well as data on temperature and rainfall, will be tabulated to perform the diversity index calculations of the Chrysopidae community present in these areas. The results will allow us to understand the fluctuation and distribution of the different species throughout the seasons, as well as the influence of the average temperature and the precipitation rate on this distribution.
