Abstract

The project seeks to illuminate how it is intended to variegate three theorical perspectives that altogether gives to the work in question its reason of being. Enumerating from the standpoint of the most distant to the closest in relation to the text, there is, first, a classical discussion from the scholiasts in regard to the theme of the finitude in Kant's work. In second place, there is a persistent metaphor present in several moments of the Critic oeuvre: the metaphor of reason as organism, as well as the analogies that it brings within. In third place, we detached two parts of the Critique of Judgement (CJ) in which it is believed to be possible to point out the same type of operating way of thought: the same manner of reasoning the organic and the culture, the natural end and the ultimate end of nature. If it is possible to make such reading, a subsequent take of position on the theme of the finitude must follow, and it should, as well, take into account the suggestive metaphor of finitude, that may not have been sufficiently considered.
