Abstract

This master's degree will consist mainly of one study - the transversal study of the project. The cross-sectional study will aim to determine the prevalence of disabling musculoskeletal pain in children and adolescents and, in addition, to investigate factors associated with pain. It is expected to include 3,608 participants who will be recruited from public and private schools in the city of São Paulo. The primary outcome will be the presence of pain and the impact of this pain on the lives of children and adolescents. These outcomes will be measured through 10 questions used in previous studies in low back pain. The activity plan proposed for this master's scholarship mainly refers to the execution of this cross-sectional study, since it is a highly complex and extensive study. (AU)
