Abstract

Faced with the perception that to circumvent the reality of low female participation in science and technology, it is necessary for girls to have early contact with women who study and work in the exact sciences area, the Lab das Minas was created. With the main objective of encouraging women in science and technology, the group holds weekly workshops that address topics such as physics, robotics and astronomy with teenagers (11 to 17 years old) from public schools near EACH in the eastern part of São Paulo since the year 2016. Through the feedback analysis of the adolescents, it was found that there is strong interest in the group to learn programming and build robots. Thus, the creation of a prototype trolley programmed with arduino and controlled by remote control and potentially enhanced to be moved by computational application.
