Abstract

The present work intends to resume the work of Martin Heidegger before "'Being and time" and to analyze a concept that participates in the constitution of his ontology, the concept of facticity. It is intended to discover to what extent there are ruptures and continuities in relation to the Augustinian line of thought in the concept of facticity of the young Heidegger. We will analyze the impact of Heidegger's reading of book X of 'Confessions' - found in the lecture "Phenomenological interpretations of book X of Confessions'' - on the formation of the concept of facticity in his youth philosophy. Heidegger proposes, in the 1920s, a radicalization of the philosophical methodology that considers the factual experience of life, thus reconstructing both historical science and classic concepts of the history of philosophy. For that we will use Heidegger's comments on Augustine in the texts "Augustine and the Neoplatonism", "Phenomenology of religious life" and "Confessions" as a basis.
