Abstract

This proposal is based on the work of a researcher at the postdoctoral level in order to articulate the process of data production in the project "Understanding Innovative Initiatives for Governing Food, Water and Energy Nexusin Cities (IFWEN)". The candidate will work with the PI of FGV / EAESP and other members of the IFWEN consortium in the execution of research project. Her research will contribute within the project mainly to understand the aspects related to the governance that leads to an improvement of urban resilience and a reduction of the trade-offs in the connection between food, water and energy (FWEN) in cities. The research willcarry out, through an exploratory research, the study between FWEN using green or blue infrastructure in cities (GBI). This will include mapping the literature on FWEN and GBI and collecting data on cases of FWEN initiativesin cities, especially those using GBI. She will use an ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) database to search. The final products will be the establishment of a database on cases of initiatives to reduce trade-offs inFWEN with GBI in cities, besides the development of a scientific article for international publication and the elaboration of a research project in partnership with one or more of collaborating researchers.
