Abstract

Nowadays there is a role reversal regarding industrial investments. With the evolution of cities in terms of infrastructure and the productive rearrangements in the middle city, it becomes the focus of investments through agglomeration diseconomies. The crowded diseconomies ratified in the mid-urban, from the 1980s, modify the entire economic and industrial structure that contradicts the classic studies in locational dispositions, moving away from the more robust urban networks to now target small cities, by beneficial factors. the expansion of industrial activity. The benefits of the small town come from the tenant content in which they offer. Often the medium and large cities no longer offer the necessary indicators for all the installation of new industrial networks that companies need, and the small city starts offering, either through large areas for construction, location arrangement in front of the main highways. and possible tax incentives. Therefore the idealization of this project is to present locational factors that led the implementation of Honda in the small city of Itirapina, corroborating idealization of the alternation of the company by the project of building a larger factory, since it also has one in the city of Sumaré-SP. The research will study the issues that promoted Honda in Itirapina and what the impact on local and regional scale.
