Abstract

The project has as its study the disputes in the political field during the first term of the Dilma Rousseff's Government (2011-2014), focusing on fiscal policy, to objectify the inflection point of the PT management, which means: the defense of the policies of fiscal adjustment and Joaquim Levy's entry to the government's second term (2015-2016). It draws on Pierre Bourdieu's sociology, especially the concepts of doxa and belief; the concept of State also deserves attention. Therefore, several research protocols will be used in dialogue with Pierre Bourdieu's theory, namely: content analysis of speeches on the subject in public hearing, identification and elaboration of prosopography of efficient agents in the political field, with emphasis on the orthodox agents. The data will be treated from en economic sociology perspective, a discipline that will help us understand the social construction of austerity as a doxa. (AU)
