Abstract

The main goal of this research is to understand what makes a 2D structured material more nonlinear and faster than others, and how to explore these understanding to design and demonstrate efficient photonic devices that might be used in signal processing or sensing. The post-doctorate fellow will be involved in sample fabrication and characterization of the 2D materials, and the design and transfer of 2D heterostructures to waveguides, aiming at compact and cost-effective devices.
