Abstract

We start from the assumption that the most shared conceptions about genders and sexualities suffer the effects of discourses that constitutes heteronormativity and monosexism. Such speeches were constructed and supported mainly by institutions such as religion, science and law. The meanings of bisexuality, in turn, are permeated by these discourses. In this way, there are understandings of this sexuality as illegitimate, as a joke or fantasy, as a transition phase or a period of indecision, among others. In view of a literature that indicates that the invisibility of bisexuality resulting from these speeches is a source of suffering, it is important to investigate how these speeches are present in the daily lives of people who identify themselves as such. Thus, the objective of this research is to build narratives with bisexual cisgender women about their trajectories of construction and experience of their sexualities highlighting possible challenges and potentialities. About 5 women, between 20 and 30 years old, who describe themselves as bisexual will be invited to participate in this research. The interviews, which will be recorded in audio, will be guided by a semi-structured interview script constructed by the authors. The process of construction of meanings in this research will take place through the construction of narratives from conversations with these women. For this, we will follow the following steps: 1) listening and transcribing the recordings in full; 2) attentive reading and listening to transcripts and audios; 3) survey of significant elements to achieve the research objectives; 4) joint construction with the participants of the narratives, centered on the challenges and potentialities in their trajectories.
