Abstract The population who lives genders and sexualities dissidences has their lives marked by diverse violence. At the moment in which there is a rupture on the construction of body and desire referenced on cisgender and/or heterosexual ideals and it is explicit at other people's eyes, the weaknesses are intensified and this reset the organization of these subjects' life, bringing impact to different contexts in their daily lives, whether on personal, affective, and loving relationships (friendship, family, conjugal life, religion), or on social politics (health, education, social assistance, etc). Specifically on occupational therapy, the work on the field of dissidence of genders and sexualities is scarce, being almost null and void the bibliographic production about the theme. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to raise, know and analyze the professional profile and the practices of occupational therapists who are working in Brazil with the population dissident in gender and sexuality. Therefore, to intend a ample survey about who are these professionals, using diverse research mechanisms, and the application of a questionnaire to all the population reunited, so as to obtain a general frame. With the parameters brought by this survey, occupational therapists will be chosen and invited to collaborate with the research, giving an interview, in an more comprehensive and dialogic approach to this thematic. Searching for exemplary practices, and reaching an agreement, some of these professionals will be accompanied during their performances. With this collaboration, it is also expected to reach these subjects who experience dissidence of gender and sexuality that have been through the experience of having support given by occupational therapist, intending to know, by means of contacting their narratives, their point of view. The results of this data collection will be analyzed, taking as fundament the theoretical references from both queer theory and social occupational therapy. Is intended to contribute to the broadening of the theoretical and methodological framework of occupational therapy, so as to turn it into an instrument for the formation of professionals and action purposes to attend the demands hitherto neglected.
