This research aims to discuss and propose the use of parametric and associative models for the design of buildings and urban blocks aiming at the construction of sustainable cities. The research will involve the identification of sustainability rules and parameters from a literary review, deepening the study regarding the application of parametric models in sustainable projects. Such parameters will be applied gradually in parametric associative models, composing a mass plan of the sustainable urban block, modeled in the Rhinoceros 3D software from its Grasshopper plug-in. At the end, different models will be generated, controlled from different input parameters. The models will be subjected to simulations and can be compared to assess the quality and efficiency of the scenarios created. The results of the research will be disseminated through publications, enabling the understanding of the promising role that the parametric modeling tools play in the integration of the concept of sustainability into the design process, both in the national and worldwide scenario of architecture and urbanism.
