Abstract

The proposed project consists of an introduction to the study of the geometry of Lie groups. It is expected that at the end of the project the student will acquire familiarity with the basic concepts of Lie group and Lie algebras, as well as the main ideas of the description of Lie groups of dimension 3 that was developed by J. Milnor.
