Abstract

This research proposal intends to know the state of São Paulo Government's mechanisms and rules that are trying to support Municipalities from the São Paulo Metropolitan Region - RMSP to engage in an environmental program. It is believed that, despite the existing environmental rules from SP State, this doesn't determine that this kind of initiatives had sprawled over regional entities, so we intend to know which Municipalities from RMSP are adhering to the program. In this way, the Project connects types of initiatives we intend to analyze, how we intend to collect information and how the conclusions could be shared with researchers and Municipalities, because we believe that it will encourage a strong and integrated environmental governance.
