Abstract

In the last three decades, Topology Optimization has been widely employed in the automotive and aerospatial industries, and in the project of compliant mechanisms. Two common problems in Topology Optimization consists in obtaining a structure with maximum stiffness, subject to a volume constraint, or finding rigid structures with minimum volume. In this project, our aim is to understand, to compare and to analyze the results obtained by means of the two formulations aforementioned.
