Abstract

Developing and integrating applications in the context of smart cities is not trivial, since it is essential to meet quality requirements such as scalability, interoperability and evolvability. Therefore, it is important that smart city platforms have an architecture that favors the fulfillment of these requirements. Therefore, understanding the architecture of a software, knowing its structural aspects and standards used, is essential to be able to satisfy the desirable quality requirements, as well as to identify points that must be refactored. However, there is little support for characterizing and evaluating systems architecture, especially those with service-based architecture. This project aims to develop a tool-based approach that assists in the process of assessing and characterizing the architecture of service-based systems. (AU)
