Abstract

The area of representation theory of algebras has been very active in the last decades, mainly because of the introduction of the concept of almost split sequences and irreducible morphisms by M. Auslander and I. Reiten in the 1970's. In 1992, S. Liu introduced the notion of degrees of irreducible morphisms, concept which has returned to the center of the theory from a series of articles by C. Chaio, F. U. Coelho, P. Le Meur and S. Trepode dealing mainly with the question of composite of irreducible morphsims. The main aim of this project is to focus in this question using the covering techniques of quivers. (AU)
