Abstract

The significant increase of automobiles in the Brazilian cities caused a dynamism of the traffic in urban centers. Along with this dynamism in the flux of vehicles on public roads of cities, comes the problem of the lack of parking spaces. Our intention with this project is to study the rotating parking service in the cities of the state of Sao Paulo with more than 250.000 inhabitants, with the objective to understand the problem from the perspective of a geographical view and the conditions of use of the territory by the agents that aim to appropriate the urban space for this purpose. The processes of concession of these rotating parking lots have attracted public trade companies in the stock markets among the main interested agents in these parking spaces. In order to elucidate the action process of financial capital in central urban spaces, the research will establish the relations of companies in regard to rotating parking lots and will seek to understand the participation of new techniques that are being used in the managing process of these territories portions, named fintech.
