Abstract

This project aims the study and characterization of surfaces of graphene samples, by analyzing three aspects: topography, tribology and the mechanical properties of the material, especially its hardness. Furthermore, regarding tribology, efforts will be made in order to understand the effect of electrification on the friction coefficient value. The research will be conducted at Laboratório de Fenômenos de Superfície da Escola Politécnica de São Paulo (LFS-EPUSP), where variants of graphene samples will be studied by techniques involving, more specifically, spectroscopy and microscopy, in addition to the use of specific equipment for each analysis. The project aims not only to continue, but also to deepen the studies of the student Sabrina Lomelino Sartori about surface engineering and the behavior of graphene samples, allowing contact with practical applications and the instruments involved in the area.
