Abstract Experiments involving cold Rydberg atoms and Ccld molecules rely heavily on highly frequency-stabilized lasers. The most appropriate way to implement this is by locking the frequency in highly stabilized optical cavities. Such cavities are stabilized at temperature and isolated in vacuum. Currently, the main manufacturer of these cavities charges values between 40-50 thousand dollars for a cavity, which in general only allows the locking of two lasers of different frequencies. The objective of this project is the construction of two optical cavities for the stabilization of four different wavelengths for experiments involving Rydberg atoms. This will improve the quality of our experiments at relatively low cost. (AU) | |
