Abstract

Major neurocognitive disorder (TNM) should not be considered as a normal part of aging. In countries like Brazil, public resources dedicated to this population are scarce. The World Health Organization (WHO) draws attention to the challenge to be faced by governments in response to the growing demand, and the need for early detection in primary health care. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the virtual training workshop for community health agents. Method: The workshop will be offered to the CHAs of the Basic Health Units (UBS), in the municipality of Santos. The project was submitted to the Municipal Health Secretariat of Santos and then forwarded to the Human Research Ethics Committee of Unifesp. The number of participants will be up to 50 per class offered in a 20-hour workload. All participants will receive the link, with the Informed Consent Form (ICF) to clarify the research objectives and ethical principles, before the first meeting. Followed by a questionnaire link with the sociodemographic variables and the "Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge Scale" (ADKS) that assesses the level of pre- and post-workshop knowledge, as well as its effectiveness. The meetings will be recorded and transcribed for later thematic analysis. Descriptive variables will be tabulated in an excel for statistical analysis. Expected Results: Propose the creation of a model to be offered for distance education in other regions, based on the analysis of the workshop's effectiveness. (AU)
