Abstract

The main goal of the project is to study three reactions that have great relevance for astrophysics: 12C+12C, 12C+16O e 16O+16O. Typically, these reactions take place in the interior of massive stars at sub-coulomb energies, which results in extremely tiny cross sections (~ nano-barn). The reactions will be studied using a new model proposed for the nuclear interaction between two matter elements, within the context of the Optical Model and, also, using the formalism of coupled-channels.
