Abstract

Due to the necessary social isolation in the face of the pandemic caused by the SARSCoV-2 virus, which caused the disease Covid-19, we find ourselves in the midst of severalchanges in rotine and family life where school and work as well as recreation activities startedto happen in the private space of the family residence, making them intermingled at the sametime. The pandemic brought the social into the home and generated a hypercoexistence amongfamily members, which is affecting their mental health and causing anxiety, depression andpost traumatic stress that have already been presented in initial research. Among thesestudies, families with adolescent members show a certain fragility in relation to the two criticalphases: adolescence and pandemic. Thus, in this research we intend to study the impactsgenerated by the pandemic on the exercise of parenting of 10 parents with adolescent children aged 13 to 17 and who have had social isolation as a practice. The study will take place through a qualitative research, using the semi-directed interview as an instrument for data collection, which will be analyzed based on the theoretical framework on the topics addressed, in order to relate them to the material obtained and the current reality, which will leave a historical mark. Thus, the research aims to collaborate with the current and subsequent discussions regarding Covid-19 and its impact on the exercise of parenting of adolescents parents. (AU)
