Abstract

The aim of this project is to create an archaeological and historical database on the establishment of colonial nuclei and their rural areas, to create a series of maps of the processes of colonial occupation of territories that were formerly indigenous. The digital version can offer the modeling of the dynamics of the process, seeking to serve as a didactic tool for use in basic and high school. The map will seek to define elements, combining historical and geoenvironmental data, to understand the establishment of the networks of relationships that kept communities connected, an essential factor for the construction of São Paulo identity and the standardization of colonial materiality, especially ceramics, a case study in this research.
