Abstract

The proposal aims to verify the interrelationships between measures and morphometric ratios and body weight and yield of lambari-do-rabo-amarelo evaluated at different stocking densities. For this, a randomized block experiment with five treatments (stocking densities of 10, 25, 50, 75, 100 fish per m2) and four blocks (production cycles of 45 days) has been carried out. At the end of each cycle, 50 fish of each density are sampled, which, after being weighed and identified by sex, are subjected to the following morphometric measurements: Standard length (SL), head length (HL), body height (BH) and body width (BW). After being measured, the animals are slaughtered and processed to calculate the yields of the carcass without scale and without guts(RCSEV) and carcass without guts, head, and fin (RCLIMPO). To date, two production cycles have already been carried out. The data obtained at the end of all cycles will initially be submitted to the "Stepwise" procedure, aiming to eliminate problems of multicollinearity between the morphometric variables, then the phenotypic correlations between the dependent variables (weight and body yield) and the independent (measures and morphometric relationships) will be calculated. Subsequently, these correlations were broken down into direct and indirect effects by path analysis and the direct and indirect contributions of each variable quantified in percentage. (AU)
