Abstract

Music talent requires identification and specialized educational attention as provided by Brazilian law. Considering the above, it has been questioned: is it possible to regularize and standardize the protocol for screening music abilities in order to be used as an apportionment instrument to identify students with indicators of music talent in Elementary School, initial years, in Basic Education Schools of the State of São Paulo? Therefore, the general objective is to regularize and standardize the protocol for screening music abilities in Elementary Schools, initial years in the State of São Paulo. The specific objectives are to adapt the items of the protocol for screening music abilities in order to refining them to identify initial cases of music talent in Elementary School, initial years and to test the usability of the instrument by applicators (classroom teachers) without and with music graduation. In first step, this exploratory research will regularize and standardize the protocol for screening music abilities and pair the results with validated tests as the Intermediate Measure Music Audiation e Primary Measure Music Audiation to verify the trustworthiness of the protocol results. The research will be performed in eight (08) schools of the State of São Paulo, selected by region, including public and private, with an estimate of 600 students participating. From the results, the regulation and standardization of the protocol is presumed to be used in schools, increasing the dissemination among school systems about the importance of screening the music talent (AU)
