Abstract

Spotted Fever is a disease that has a high lethality, being transmitted to humans through the bite of a tick. It is important for the population to know the disease in order to recognize the forms of contagion, signs and symptoms and ways of prevention. Educational videos are proving to be an excellent instrument in the teaching-learning process, in addition to offering pedagogical support with audiovisual language, they can be creative, systematic and dynamic. Thus, this research proposes to develop an educational video on health education for Spotted Fever (FM), in order to promote/facilitate learning about this disease. The video is intended for children of school age and between 7 to 10 years old, understanding that the school is a privileged space to develop health education actions. This is a descriptive, methodological study that will go through the following steps: elaboration and validation of the script and recording. Developing an educational video will strengthen work on theoretical issues with respect to communication and language facilitating understanding of health education. It is hoped that video will facilitate learning, in order to trigger a change in the epidemiological scenario of the disease.
