Abstract

This project proposes the study of the voltage stability in power electric systems considering the three-phase transmission lines' actual parameters, obtained by using system identification techniques applied to measures from the receiver end and sender end of each transmission line that it composes the system. The technical literature shows that the voltage stability of a system is directly related to the parameters present in the admittance matrix, such matrix is composed of primitive elements of the grid (generators, transformers, lines, loads). However, the conventional approach considers that such matrix is fixed, i.e. it does not consider the dynamics of the parameters during the time, as well as the initial approximations to obtain them. Therefore, such an approach presents a systematic error related to the accuracy in which the parameters are used. Thus, based on an extensive bibliography review, this project aims to develop alternative methods capable to incorporate the real time transmission line parameter estimation on the voltage stability study. The development proposed represents a new approach applied to voltage stability study, which was not previously applied to solve problems in power systems. Such novelty determines the original contribution of this research. (AU)
